Winding Down in Santa Clarita
- Posted at 02-05-09 - 05:20 PM by Atom! @ Brave New World
The traffic is still trickling in, there’s a big dent in our pile of free comics, the art classes have come to a close and even Herbie the Love Bug looks a bit droopy. But what a great day for everybody.
Special thanks to Derrick Thompson, Crystal Chesney-Thompson, Ray Freisen, and Rob Levin & Nelson Blake II from Top Cow!
Happy Free Comic Book Day Everybody!

Did you have the Storm Troopers directing traffic?

Nah, we had Storm Troopers stopping traffic.
When that woman stopped at the corner, the DJ Mark Fortier and his posse went out to commandeer her car and bring her into the festivities.

Atom!, I have to say that I immensely enjoyed the discussion you and Carr at Earth-2 had in the Re-Reading Watchmen series back in the winter, I bookmarked each one and read them as they came out.
Looking at the activities that took place in Newhall yesterday, I wish I had come out and taken part! However, from Porter Ranch to Golden Apple (by bus and foot, the other stores by car), Sherman Oaks Earth-2, Collector’s Paradise AND Northridge Earth-2 was enough for my first FCBD. I will make it a priority to see you guys at next year’s celebration, and a few times this summer.
Congrats on a great event!
