NYCC 2010 – Sneak a Peak at The CBR Tiki Room
We’re here at the Javitz Center in New York City all weekend covering New York Comic Con and once again we’re high above the show floor conducting interviews Friday, Saturday and Sunday. While these skyboxes are very nice, the gray/black/white color scheme is a bit drab and we decided to dress it up a bit. With a set budget of basically zero, we had to get creative. Last week I hopped on the phone with CBR Senior Editor and designer extraordinaire Stephen Gerding and we hatched a plan — decorate the skybox like a tiki room! Stephen crafted that neato logo and I went online and bought a crap load of inflatable, tacky flamingos, palm trees and other assorted tiki themed crap! Had we more time, I would have bought a bunch of thatching and really went to town — next time!
So, here’s a sneak peak at the CBR Tiki Room, our NYC based studio and news room. By the way, if you’re a Foursquare user, be sure to check in to the CBR Tiki Room on Foursquare as you walk by. Oh, and wave hi! We might wave back!
This is our video set-up. Full HD Canon cameras, all digital, etc.
A look at our news room/chill area.
And finally where all our reporters will file their reports all weekend long.
See you all at New York Comic Con!
