From the con to the airport

My San Diego trip is coming to an end. Thanks to everyone who has been checking in on the site. We’ll have tons of new CCI stories popping up for the next several days, so stay tuned.
It took me 45 minutes to get through airport security… And the line got a lot longer while I was standing in it.

Who watches the Watchmen?

Hopefully all these people… As well as me and Shaun Manning, as we’re waiting in this huge line outside the convention center.
We got here at 7:30 am for an 11:55 am panel. Because that’s how much CBR loves you. (and the Watchmen)

Short lines for the bathroom

Incredible!

I’ve seen a bunch of cool costumes already… Thought these were worth posting.
Sittting in the Eddie Campbell panel. Campbell just mentioned that they named ‘Gotham General’ hospital in an issue of Batman, and they also had the Joker blow it up. ”I wonder if they read it?” he asked.
Another good bit from Campbell: he has zero time for sketchbooks. ”Everthing I draw is for publication.”

CBR’s neighbor

CBR’s neighbor (or whatever you call the person in the yacht next to you - all this yacht talk is uncharted water to me) is Doug. Doug is a cool guy.

Chilling on Doug’s yacht today? None other than Mr. Mike Grell. We hollered at Doug’s shipmate as he was autographing comics.

Doug told us to report on how he conned Grell to hang out with him all day. “Unlimited Mike’s Hard Lemonade,” Grell answered.

Hello from the CBR yacht!

The karma police rewarded me for my trip from hell two weeks ago to Reno… travel from Kansas City was seamless, to the point that I just stumbled down the first boat ramp I saw, to hear Jonah yell, “SETH!” Perfect.
