Rob Liefeld Looks Back on Deadpool's Real Secret Origin
Film, Comic Books
CBR Contributing Writer Joey Pangilinan sent in the following pic and anecdote about NoCal’s very own Batmobile, spotted cruising the streets of San Jose, CA!
So this photo was taken when I was in San Jose, CA last weekend. The fin at the roof of the car, wings on hood of the trunk, and flame thing on the back bumper are actually made of cardboard.
When I was taking the picture, the owner was actually approaching… It was an awkward introduction at first, but he was a little self-deprecating about the fact that he has had too much time on his hands.
He said that in time, he wants to replace the cardboard with something sturdier; I forgot what material he was hoping to eventually put in place. The Bat-logos were a somewhat quick paint job, and kind of like the cardboard, wants to also eventually retouch it. Overall, it’s still a work in progress.
Let’s make this plainly clear, I’m a guy. Fairly typical in most ways, especially when it comes to noticing those things women do that they’d like us to notice but don’t. Stuff like new hair styles, new shoes, painted finger or toe nails. Stuff like that. Guys just don’t generally have that on their radar.
BUT, when one of those things is merged with something geek-tastic, well, men start to notice. This happened the other day when I was scrolling through wall posts on my Facebook page and my friend Teaa Bradley posted this picture last Friday.
She dressed up her nails for a screening of “The Dark Knight Rises!” Very nice, Teaa!
